Path Towards Nature: Andy Goldsworthy is an artist’s book that seeks to organize, understand, and graphically translate Goldsworthy’s body of work in a unified and visually expressive manner through exploring typography as a thematic device.
Goldsworthy is known for his site-specific installations that utilizes only natural materials and the passing of time. In this publication, the design is driven by the way Goldsworthy creates a certain path within his work that flows through nature while disrupting it at the same time. Portions of the typography have been treated in a way to visually simulate this path that disrupts the natural reading and progression of the text. These sentences then take on a new poetic meaning as they are read out of the context of the essay.
